This is an easy and delicious high protein dish, that pairs well with any vegetable or fresh salad and are perfect for a brunch dish (as pictured with poached eggs). 

These meatballs are full of herbs and spices that are Greek inspired and can be baked in the oven or sautéed in a pan. Unlike traditional meatball recipes, this one is egg free, dairy free and gluten free as well and literally bursting with savoury flavor!

In these last few years, formulating different natural cosmetics has inspired me to change and grow the Dermis by Tropho line, and I love seeing the evolution of my work.

Turing something that would normally be thrown away into something healthy and tasty is a skill I am happily cultivating, and I'm glad you're all along for the ride with me! 

The star ingredient in this Dill-icious Dressing is leftover pickle juice. High in probiotics (if your pickles are fermented) and higher in flavour, this is a bonus ingredient in any low waste kitchen. 

This dressing is delicious in any salad, but also works amazingly as a dip! Save this recipe and make it ASAP! 

Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp pickle juice
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tsp chopped dill
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper 

Directions:
1. Add everything to a high speed blender and process until smooth. Approx 1 min
2. Enjoy in a salad, with cucumbers, or chips!

Valentine's day is this weekend, and the emphasis on this holiday revolves so much around loving others; but should that be our primary focus? 

It is so important to remember to invest your time, effort and love back into yourself, and if you needed a reminder, consider this your sign. 

Here's a few ideas for you to cultivate that love for yourself this weekend: 

💕 Make a playlist of your favourite songs and move your body! (dancing, working out, whatever feels best to you!) 

💕 Dig your favourite fancy outfit out from your closet, grab the crystal, and take an ordinary meal to a luxurious level! 

💕 Set aside 5 minutes to write down all of the things you have accomplished in your life, or everything you are thankful for. Mindfulness is great for your physical and mental health! 

💕 5 minute skin brush, 5 minute body massage with argan and lavender oil, and a soak in a hot bath. Chill music and candles definitely included! (This one is my personal favourite)

Artificial colours may seen benign, after all, it's only a few drops in a recipe right? Not exactly. 

In clinical studies, artificial food dyes like Red dye 40 and Yellow # 5 have been linked to allergic reactions, behavioral issues and even cancer! However (thankfully) not all colours come with a cost! 

You will never find artificial colours in any Tropho recipes or #DermisbyTropho products, simple because there's other safer ways! The tea in the picture was made with only hibiscus flowers, no extra colour! 

Try these other options if you need some red and pink for your Valentine's Day projects:

❤ Crushed rose petals
❤ French red clay

When was the last time you showed some love to you When was the last time you showed some love to your cardiovascular system?!

If you were around in the 90's, I probably don't have to sing the jingle to remind you that beans are good for your heart! 

Beans are incredibly high in fibre, which is important in ensuring blood sugar and cholesterol are both in balance. They are also high in minerals like magnesium, which can help to lower blood pressure! 

Onions are incredibly high in the antioxidant quercetin, which has powerful anti-inflammatory benefits. Combine that with its ability to lower cholesterol and blood pressure, this is an ingredient you want to use regularly! 

Make this for dinner today!
• 2 white onions
• 2 red onions
• 3 tbsp olive oil
• 1 355ml can of white beans
• 1 rib of celery
• 1 carrot
• 2 cloves garlic
• 1L stock (if using water, add extra herbs and spices)
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 tsp marjoram
• 1 tsp thyme
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1 tsp black pepper
• 1/4 lemon
• 1/3 cup parsley
• Salt to taste 

Directions:
1. Cut onions in half, and then into thin slices and place on a baking sheet. Drizzle 1.5 tbsp of olive oil and a sprinkle of salt on the onions and roast them for approx 30 mins at 400, or until they start to brown, mixing once around the halfway point.
2. Finely chop celery, carrot and garlic, and add to pan on medium heat with remaining olive oil. Sautee for a few minutes and then add the beans, ensuring you rinse them first.
3. After 2 minutes, add bay leafs, marjoram, thyme, black pepper, onion powder, a pinch of salt and water or stock to the pan. Bring to a boil and them simmer for at least 30 mons 
4. Two minutes before you take it off the heat, squeeze the lemon into the soup, add the chopped parsley, and add more salt to your taste.
5. If you prefer a creamier soup, blend half of the soup and add back to pot.
6. Enjoy!
